Schedule · Stages

Three stages,
one horizon

Music starts when the heat breaks and doesn’t stop until the sun comes back. On the shortest night of the year that’s nine and a half hours of dark — we’ve planned every minute of it.

A typical festival day: gates open at 16:00, sunset at 20:04, headliners from 23:30 and sunrise at 05:34.
  • Pink and orange stage lights and lasers cutting through haze above the Sun Stage
    Cap. 40,000

Main stage · faces due west

    Sun Stage

A 60-metre amphitheatre of light built so every headliner plays straight into the sunset. The sound rig is tuned for the open flats — loud at the barrier, kind at the back.

360° tent dug into the sand

    Dune Tent

A circular big-top sunk two metres into the dunes, so the bass travels through the ground. Lasers overhead, sand underfoot, no closing time before four.

Floating platform on the dry lake

    Mirage

A solar-powered deck on the salt flat ringed by mirror walls. Ambient by day, cumbia at dusk, and the one set nobody misses — sunrise on the longest day.

Art & experiences

The desert is the other headliner

  1. 01

    Installations

Eleven large-scale works lit from dusk. Meridian, an 18-metre glass prism, catches the last light at 20:04 and glows until dawn.

    Dusk — late
  2. 02

    Dawn sound baths

Gongs, crystal bowls and a 40-voice choir on the east ridge as the longest day breaks. Mats and blankets provided; silence encouraged.

    04:45 — 06:00
  3. 03

    Desert cinema

A drive-in-sized screen on the dry lake: road movies, sci-fi double bills and a cult midnight singalong. Bring a blanket, we bring the popcorn.

    22:00 — 02:00
  4. 04

    Food market

Forty kitchens from the high desert and beyond — al pastor off the spit, date shakes, Oaxacan moles, and plant-based everything until 3am.

FAQ

Good questions

Still wondering about something? The crew answers within a day at hello@solstice.example.

  • Yes. Under-5s are free with an adult, and 5–17s need a youth ticket ($199) and must be with a parent or guardian. The VIP bar and the after-hours Mirage are 21+.

  • June afternoons on the flats reach 38°C (100°F), which is why the main stages open at 16:00. Expect 60+ free water stations, misting tunnels, shaded chill zones and medics at every stage. Nights drop to around 18°C — pack a layer.

  • With a 3-day wristband you can exit and re-enter through Gate A as often as you like until 02:00 each night. Campers have 24-hour access to Sunrise Camp.

  • Sealed snacks and an empty refillable bottle (up to 1 litre) are welcome. No glass, no outside alcohol, and no drones — the sky belongs to the light show.

  • Tickets aren't refundable, but they are transferable at face value through the official Solstice resale exchange until 12 June 2027.

  • Two pop-up cell towers cover the arena and camps, and solar charging lockers at the food market cost $15 for the whole weekend.

  • Sunscreen, a wide hat, earplugs, a headlamp, a bandana for the dust, layers for the night and an alarm for 04:45 — you'll want to be on the ridge for sunrise.
